Iron Ore Pellets – Premium Charge Material
Iron Ore Pellets are small, hard, spherical nodules formed from iron ore concentrate and thermally baked to achieve high mechanical strength. Engineered for optimal reducibility and uniform airflow, our pellets are the perfect feedstock for both Direct Reduction (DR) plants and Blast Furnaces (BF) operating across the CIS.
Key Characteristics of Iron Pellets
High Cold Crushing Strength (CCS)
Thermally hardened to withstand the immense pressure of blast furnaces and the physical stress of long-distance rail transport without degrading into dust.
High Porosity and Reducibility
Designed with an optimal internal porous structure, allowing reducing gases to penetrate easily and accelerate the iron-making process.
Uniform Size and Shape
Consistent spherical dimensions (mostly 9-16mm) ensure excellent bed permeability and smooth gas flow inside the furnace.
Tailored Grades (DR & BF)
Available in both Direct Reduction grade (high Fe, very low acid gangue) and Blast Furnace grade, depending on the client’s technology.
Common Applications of Iron Pellets

The primary raw material for producing Sponge Iron (DRI/HBI). DR-grade pellets ensure a highly efficient reduction process.
Blast Furnaces (BF)
Charged alongside sinter and lump ore to improve furnace permeability, lower coke rates, and boost hot metal production.
Iron Pellets Typical Specifications (DR Grade)
| Parameter | Typical Value |
| Total Iron (Fe) | 65.0% – 67.0% |
| Silica + Alumina | < 3.5% |
| Cold Crushing Strength (CCS) | > 250 kg/pellet |
| Size (9mm – 16mm) | > 90% |
| Porosity | 20% – 24% |
Delivered in bulk via rail or sea. Our high CCS ensures that the pellets remain intact during long-haul CIS transit operations.
Why Choose Our Iron Pellets
Our iron pellets are engineered to maximize your furnace’s efficiency. By combining excellent reducibility with superior physical strength, we minimize fines generation during transport and maximize your metallic yield. Our export operations are fully equipped to handle large-scale, continuous supply contracts to CIS steelmakers.
